An eco-designed website can significantly reduce emissions, averaging between 1.2 g and 1.5 g of CO₂ per page view through practices such as image compression and query optimization. With extensive optimization, it is possible to drop below 1 g of CO₂, although this remains difficult to achieve for most websites.
