Accelerate your digital transformation with a headless redesign, UX/UI improvements, and an omnichannel strategy
Experts in flooring and installation since 1963
Wallpaper, rugs, tile, hardwood flooring, carpet… With more than 130 stores in France, Saint-Maclou offers the widest selection of flooring and interior decor. Saint Maclou is innovating and regularly introducing new digital features to enhance the omnichannel experience for both its customers and its in-store employees.
DATASOLUTION supported this transformation not only by deploying a new headless platform, but also through a UX/UI redesign that placed design and usability at the heart of the customer journey, delivering a rich and distinctive user experience.
A 100% decoupled approach
This redesign was built entirely as a headless solution, using the Contentful CMS (for products and content), a React front end, and Shopify Plus for the transactional components (shopping cart and checkout).
Customer accounts are synchronized with the CRM, and all interactions and connections with Saint-Maclou’s IT system are handled through dedicated middleware based on Shopify’s APIs.
The new version of the website went live in October 2020 after a 3.5-month project. The team then organized itself to handle the maintenance and development of the React-based front end, in addition to the Shopify portion.
Starting in 2021, a “Digital Factory” was established to best support the growth of the digital business.
UX: Toward a User-Centric Approach
