Creators of flavor, good cheer, and unforgettable moments
After developing the corporate website in 2018, we’re teaming up with Carambar&Co again for an ambitious project: creating an online store for all of the brands owned by the group.
Carambar&Co includes many other treats, such as candies (Malabar, Krema, Vichy, etc.) and chocolate (Poulain, Mi-Cho-Ko, Suchard, etc.). These are all brands we’re particularly fond of because we grew up with them.
The Coexistence of Multiple Worlds
Each of Carambar&Co’s brands must be incorporated into the style guide for Carambar’s corporate website.
Each brand is associated with a specific background color. From a technical standpoint, all colors can be configured in the admin panel using a color list pulled from the back office, allowing for maximum customization of the brand pages. Right on the home page, the “New Arrivals” and “Featured Products” banners highlight a selection of Carambar&Co gems that feature products from several brands.
Clear and transparent product sheets
Several photos are included in the product listings so that the product is shown from every angle. The goal? To make the user’s mouth water.
Certain graphic elements make the content easier to read and help prevent information overload. A system of pictograms provides information on the composition and origin of the products. The ingredients and nutritional information are displayed just below, using a collapsible tab for greater clarity. As the user continues browsing, they’ll see a banner in the brand’s colors—a chance to discover a selection of their favorite products!
Optimizing Order Management
First and foremost, this is an e-commerce site, and we haven’t forgotten that. The goal? To offer bulk purchases so that shipping costs are cost-effective.
Halloween, Easter, Candlemas… Any occasion is a good excuse to add a little sweetness to your life. The “Events” category offers the perfect packs and boxes for these occasions. In this category, there’s no such thing as half measures: family-sized options are the norm.
A classic but important step in the cross-selling process occurs before the order is placed. Complementary products are suggested based on the items you’ve added to your cart. How can you resist those Malabars tattoos reaching out to you? Here, too, the customer can manage the selection.
High-quality storytelling
We developed an innovative storytelling approach to ensure the website would be unlike any other. Throughout the creative process, we helped Carambar & Co. make decisions about how to communicate with consumers about their brands.
With this in mind, our team developed a lighthearted and original tone. To create a new sense of connection with consumers and project a youthful, uninhibited image, we decided to use the informal “you” throughout the entire site.
The copy was therefore carefully crafted to convey a unique brand identity and enhance Carambar & Co.’s appeal. That’s right—we wrote all the copy ourselves to achieve specific goals!
