e‑commerce Platform Developer

Job Description:

As a Senior Developer, you will play a key role in the design, development, and evolution of complex e-commerce platforms for our clients.

You will play an active role in defining technical architectures and will oversee best practices in software development within the team.

Main tasks:

• Backend design and development using PHP 8 / Symfony (APIs, services, business modules, third-party integrations).
• Contribute to technical decisions and the design of scalable, high-performance architectures for e-commerce platforms (Adobe, Sylius, Pimcore, Orocommerce, Mirakl, PrestaShop Headless, etc.).
• Integration of external APIs (ERP, CRM, PIM, payment tools, logistics, etc.).
• Optimizing performance and securing applications.
• Technical mentoring of intermediate and junior developers.
• Code review, unit and functional tests, CI/CD.
• Technology monitoring and participation in the continuous improvement of internal processes.
• Work closely with the front-end, design, and project teams to ensure the quality and overall consistency of deliverables.

Required skills:

Techniques:

• Excellent proficiency in PHP 8 and the Symfony framework (5/6).
• In-depth knowledge of REST and GraphQL architectures.
• Experience with one or more CMSs or e-commerce frameworks (Sylius, OroCommerce, Adobe, Pimcore, headless PrestaShop, etc.).
• A solid understanding of MySQL/MariaDB databases.
• Experience with Git, Docker, CI/CD, and automated testing (PHPUnit, Behat).
• Desirable skills: API Platform, Elasticsearch, Redis, RabbitMQ, microservices, front-end (React / Vue.js).

Functional:

• In-depth knowledge of e-commerce issues (product catalog, shopping cart, payment, logistics, performance).
• Ability to analyze business needs and propose appropriate technical solutions.
• A focus on performance, quality, and scalability.

Profil recherché :

• Bachelor’s degree through master’s degree in computer science (engineering school or equivalent).
• At least 8 years of experience in PHP/Symfony development, including at least 4 years on large-scale e-commerce projects.
• Ability to work in an agile team (Scrum/Kanban).
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently.
• Willingness to work on a variety of topics
• A passion for technology and web performance.
