Business Engineer (Work-Study Program)

Job Description:

As part of the growth of our subsidiary Digital Mag—a media outlet focused on connected businesses and specializing in e-commerce—we are seeking a work-study Business Engineer.

Reporting to the Publishing Director (N+1), you will serve as a true right-hand person for sales, gradually developing your skills across the entire sales cycle.

Main tasks:

Business Development & Prospecting:

• Identify and qualify new business opportunities (cold calling, LinkedIn, email, events)
• Help build prospecting databases and monitor the market (customers, competitors, digital trends)
• Schedule sales appointments and participate in initial client discussions

Account Management Support:

• Support the immediate supervisor in managing and monitoring existing clients
• Help draft sales proposals (quotes, presentations, responses to requests for proposals)
• Track sales metrics (pipeline, reporting, CRM)

Representation & Trade Shows:

• Represent the company at trade shows, events, and business meetings (Paris)
• Act as a temporary replacement for the Editor-in-Chief on an ad hoc basis
• Increase brand visibility and generate qualified leads

Ascent on your own:

• Learn how to manage a complete sales cycle
• Gradually take on more responsibility for a portfolio or specific business assignments

Profil recherché :

Education:

• 5 years of post-secondary education (business school, engineering school with a business specialization, or university)
• Interest in digital technology and/or e-commerce

Skills:

• Strong interest in business development
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent verbal communication skills
• Analytical skills and a structured mindset
• Proficiency with digital tools (LinkedIn, CRM, Microsoft Office)
