DATASOLUTION and Sonepar were awarded the Customer Experience Gold Trophy on November 5th at the 2020 E-commerce Trophies organized by E-commerce Magazine.
This category rewards initiatives designed to increase the user experience, in-store or online (value-added services, optimization of the online shopping journey, etc.)
In 2019, the 22 brands in Sonepar France’s regional generalist network joined forces under a single commercial brand : Sonepar Connect, to reinforce the ambition of being the sector’s reference in the French market. The first step of this project is to switch all the brand websites under a common E-Commerce platform based on Intershop : www.sonepar.fr.
Two major objectives have been defined for this overhaul :
- Improve user experience with new features for customers
- Give access to all the branches of the Sonepar Connect network with the same customer account, 300 branches (previously a customer had access only to the branches of his brand)
Compared to the previously proposed user experience, the current navigation is more fluid and more in line with the standards of the B2B market. The innovations implemented thus meet the expectations of Sonepar’s customers, who are increasingly demanding and accustomed to B2C purchasing behaviour.
- Product Comparator : the customer can view the technical specifications and compare several products on the basis of the selected characteristics
- Equivalence engine : the customer can, via similar product functionalities, search for all products having the same technical characteristics as the product in question, regardless of the brand
- Multi-carts : the customer can prepare several carts in parallel corresponding to his various quotes and projects in progress, and switch from one to the other easily at any time
- Smart Stock: set up a visible national stock online to increase the stocked offer available
