The ETAM Group

The Etam Group, now a leader in France and internationally, is a key player in lingerie and fashion. Building on its identity and historical expertise, the Etam Group cultivates this unique relationship with its customers through its brands Etam, Maison 123, Undiz, Livy, and Ysé, and a strong omnichannel presence based on more than 1,300 stores in 57 countries.

How DATASOLUTION supported the ETAM Group

Context and Problem Statement

In 2021, the ETAM Group decided to review its product enrichment and publication process across its various sales and marketing channels (brand e-commerce sites, marketing partners, marketplaces, export, etc.).

While functional, their existing publication workflow lacked data quality monitoring and control, and did not provide a comprehensive overview of products before publication.

The objectives of the Pimcore solution

The Group wanted to regain control over the quality of the entered data and benefit from monitoring indicators that would allow them to know the precise status of the product and item database in real time.

The objective of implementing a PIM at ETAM was therefore to meet the following expectations:

  1. Collection of the product repository from various information systems
  2. Enrichment of the product repository (manually and using matching rules)
  3. Creation of a media library (integration, storage, resizing)
  4. Translation management
  5. Import and export of data (formats, export and/or programming rules) to various channels (brand websites, marketplaces, etc.)
  6. Harmonization of product enrichment processes

The goal was to improve the quality and control of data management (from the SAP ERP to the Salesforce Commerce Cloud eCommerce platform) and to gain a comprehensive view of the product, not just its attributes (size, color, composition, etc.), but also suppliers, factories, marketing data, translations, and more.

It was also essential that each brand, while having its own product range, could apply the same processes and rules within the PIM.

The deployment of the Pimcore solution

The ETAM Group opted for a flexible and open tool that would allow it to enrich product data with additional information, such as manufacturing sites. The solution also needed to facilitate collaborative workflows, while guaranteeing secure access by brand, and offer reporting functionalities as well as seamless integration into the ETAM ecosystem.

Following a call for tenders, the group selected Pimcore (Enterprise Edition), a platform that met these requirements and offered scalability adapted to future needs, particularly in terms of pricing management. Contrary to traditional practices, ETAM chose to centralize all product data within Pimcore, thus transforming its PIM into a true Product Hub.
