A strategic project

With its made-in-France production chain, Dickson Constant is present in over 120 countries, including 7 in Europe, and has a catalog of 3,000 references.

 

In 2018, Dickson Constant decided to launch a B2B e-commerce site for its resellers and distributors, with the following objectives:

 

  • 24/7 order taking for small and medium-sized customers
  • Order tracking for larger customers (order taking by DICKSON’s sales department and EDI exchanges)
  • Real-time stock tracking for foreign customers
  • Acquisition of new customers.

A platform tailored to the specificities of the business

In 2018, Dickson Constant selected Adobe Commerce / Magento and DATASOLUTION to deploy this digital platform. With a very wide range of customers and different profiles requiring a specific approach to ensure that each customer feels recognized and valued during their digital user experience, we oriented this project 100% towards the customer. The main difficulty encountered was the development of a PIM tool in parallel with the e-commerce project, which led to continuous adjustment of the flows throughout the project development period.

Upon completion of the Agile-led deployment, Dickson Constant has:

  • A fully responsive B2B sales site with 5,500 active customers
  • Only one back-office for the 7 European countries
  • Specific prices by customer and product (6 million prices)
  • Delivery and payment methods specific to each customer.

In 2019: Corporate website redesign

After the launch of the B2B site, the decision was made in 2019 to complement this platform with a redesign of the corporate website, based on the CMS editor of the platform. Dickson Constant now has a complete digital platform based on Adobe Commerce / Magento.
