A Pimcore overhaul focused on centralization, ergonomics, and performance
DATASOLUTION redesigned the “Crèches Pour Tous” website by integrating Pimcore, an open-source PIM e-commerce solution.
This integration centralized and structured crèche information, making it easier to distribute across various digital channels.
A customized search engine was developed to enhance the user experience, featuring real-time availability display and advanced filtering options.
The interface was designed to be fully responsive, with special attention given to ergonomics and seamless navigation across different devices.

Integrated within a single centralized Pimcore instance alongside other people&baby websites, the private space for parents, and the Flexi Family service platform, the Crèches Pour Tous e-commerce platform is a true Open Source PIM e-commerce solution. Crèche listings have undergone complete structuring and modeling of product information. Once centralized in the PIM, this structured product data is then leveraged across all digital channels.

PIM comparison: Akeneo vs. Pimcore
As the multichannel challenge becomes essential, e-commerce PIM solutions are flourishing. Among the most promising ones, Akeneo and Pimcore stand out.
For the implementation of a PIM for people&baby, the e-commerce agency DATASOLUTION chose Pimcore, an Open Source PIM solution. Compared to Akeneo—primarily Magento-oriented—Pimcore not only provides all the essential Product Information Management (PIM) tools to standardize and centralize product data, but it also goes beyond Akeneo by integrating a CMS (Content Management System) and a DAM (Digital Asset Management), offering a more comprehensive digital ecosystem.

A powerful search engine
As the core tool of the directory, our digital agency developed a custom search engine to query crèche listing information stored in the central PIM. In addition to displaying real-time availability, users can refine their results by setting a search radius or selecting specific criteria to find the best match.


A user-centered UX design
Beyond the custom Front Office integration following all best practices for responsive design, the focus was placed on delivering an optimal user experience. Depending on the device used (desktop, tablet, or mobile), navigation aids enhance the site’s overall ergonomics, including sticky menus, call-to-action buttons, and a hamburger menu for intuitive browsing.
