Cotélac is a French fashion house founded in 1993, renowned for its distinctive position in designer ready-to-wear, particularly thanks to its original patterns and prints. The brand operates over 90 stores and sells in France, the USA, and Japan.

Cotélac was looking to implement a robust platform capable of handling traffic spikes, equipped with comprehensive APIs for seamless integration with their ERP, and advanced omnichannel features.

Shopify met all these requirements, making it the platform of choice selected by our experts. Our digital agency supported Cotélac in migrating from Wshop to a new Shopify Plus platform.

We guided our client throughout the project, from the initial scoping phase to the go-live, including integration and development stages.

Challenge #1 : how to support Cotélac’s designers?  

As the graphic design was handled internally by Cotélac, DATASOLUTION provided its expertise by advising on Shopify’s native features.

This included responsive design rules to create a 100% mobile-first interface, creating SVG-format icons for enhanced quality, and examples of UI kits covering all necessary graphic blocks.

Our Creative Studio also developed an accessibility charter shared with Cotélac. The goal? To ensure the site was accessible, particularly for the USA store.

This charter featured a report on contrast ratios, font sizes, and possible visual effects, among other considerations.

Challenge #2 : how to optimize stock management across stores?

Omnichannel functionality was carefully addressed with integration to the Y2 CEGID ERP, enabling store inventory synchronization on the site and orchestration rules for stock management. This allowed orders to be assigned to specific stores, leveraging inventory across the entire network, not just the central warehouse.

Challenge #3 : how to offer tailored product catalogs and payment methods by country?

To address this challenge, our experts developed and implemented an international strategy. This was achieved by creating a dedicated site for the USA market and another for France.

And the results?

Since the site went live, no maintenance has been required!

The platform seamlessly handles traffic spikes related to new collections, thanks in part to the elasticity of Shopify’s Cloud hosting.

Our client, Cotélac, can now focus on functional enhancements to their e-commerce platform, driving their business growth!
