Creating an online store for a group of brands
After creating the institutional website in 2018, we are once again partnering with Carambar&Co for an ambitious mission: creating an online store for all the brands owned by the group. Carambar&Co is not just about the caramel sticks that make us smile. The brand encompasses many other sweets such as candies (Malabar, Krema, Vichy…) and chocolates (Poulain, Mi-Cho-Ko, Suchard…) under the name of Carambar&Co. These are all brands that we particularly cherish because we grew up with them.

Coexistence of multiple universes
Each brand of Carambar&Co must find its place within the institutional website design of Carambar. For each brand, a specific color is associated. Technically, all colors are configurable on the administrator side thanks to a color listing that comes from the back office to customize brand pages as much as possible. Starting from the homepage, the “New Products” and “Star Products” banners highlight a selection of Carambar&Co’s gems, in which several brands coexist.

Clear and transparent product sheets
Multiple photos provide a 360-degree view of the product on the product sheets. The goal ? To make the user’s mouth water. Some graphic elements make it easier to read to avoid information overload. A system of pictograms provides information on the composition and origin of the products. The ingredients and nutritional values are presented just below, using a retractable tab for clarity. Continuing their navigation, the user discovers a banner in the brand’s colors. An opportunity to discover a selection of their favorite products !

An e-commerce website designed to optimize order management
Large formats for food lovers and cross-selling
It is primarily an e-commerce site, and we haven’t forgotten that. The goal? To offer purchases in large quantities to make shipping costs profitable. Halloween, Easter, Candlemas… All occasions are good for adding a little sweetness to your life. An “Events” category offers suitable packs and boxes. In this category, there’s no half-measure: family-sized formats are the norm. Classic but not negligible, a cross-selling step precedes the order. Complementary products are offered to you based on what you have added to your cart. How can you resist these Malabar tattoos that are reaching out to you? Again, the selection is manageable by the customer.

Quality Storytelling
We have designed an innovative storytelling approach to make the website stand out from the rest. Throughout the creation process, we helped Carambar & Co make choices about how to communicate with consumers about their brands. As part of this approach, we developed a light and original tone. To create a new closeness with the consumer and affirm a young and unpretentious image, we decided to use the familiar “tu” form throughout the site. The wording was completely designed to convey a unique universe and contribute to the likability of Carambar & Co. Yes, all the texts were written by us to achieve specific goals !
